Branimir „Barney“ Nikolic, having excelled for many years as a theatrical make-up artist in Germany, two years ago fulfilled a long-time ambition to found his own FX company and now enjoys international acclaim for his work as a special effects make-up artist.
Operating from studios in Berlin, Barney and his supervised team create convincing prosthetics, dummies and look-alikes for film, TV, theatre and events. They specialize in the use of gelatine and silicone and in advanced mould making techniques.

In addition, Barney is a skilled sculptor and airbrusher and an expert in the painting and colouring of life-like prosthetics. His extensive on-set experience includes the application and colouring of prosthetics and team supervision.
His background experience in traditional make-up, hairdressing and postich has proved to be a valuable asset to his work.
